Your Thoughts Are Mine

Looch
2 disc DVD
Available from: www.alakazam.co.uk
Price: £29.99

Filmed in the basement of Eastwell Manor, Looch sets about amazing five students with his mind reading abilities on this twin DVD set. A mixture of new and classic mentalism techniques are applied to create twelve well constructed and highly impressive effects.

First up on disc one is ‘A Question of Time’. A spectator’s watch is set to a random time and you are able to reveal it. There’s nothing really new here but it does nicely flow right into the second effect ‘How Is That Done’ where a time is projected into the mind of the spectator.

‘Intuitive Aiii’ follows next and is probably my favourite from the first disc. A demonstration of perception and memory with a pack of cards. There is some memory work here needed, but you can always use a crib sheet to help you out if you are really struggling as explained.

If ESP effects are your thing then next up is ‘Wake Up Dr Rhine’ a cracking 3 phase ESP routine, which is definitely worth learning.

The first disc is finished off with an effect called ‘Nod to Pocket Watch’ where the spectator questions whether his choices are his own or whether they are predetermined. Simple and direct!

Disc two continues with even more excellent routines. ‘R.V. Protocol’, ‘Psychological Foresight’, ‘P5YCHOM3TR1’, ‘Psycolorgy’, ‘The Collector’ and ‘The Hustler’. ‘P5YCHOM3TR1’ is a great routine based around the classic Sneak Thief. There’s some really good thinking with this one. I’m sure this will be used by many. ‘The Collector’ plays as a demonstration of remote viewing, but with a killer climax. I really like this one!

What’s nice is that Looch is really down to earth when he performs these effects and this, to me, makes them more believable. There’s something for everyone here. Recommended viewing. PS

What's Hot: Not one bad effect on the whole two disc set
What's Not: Looch’s patter becomes a little repetitive at times
Star rating: ****
